The receiving electrician can also paste an incoming message into Field Notes and translate it here.
Saved Notes
De-Energize and Verify
This app provides a general reminder, not a job-specific safety procedure. Follow your employer and jobsite requirements. If the safe condition is not clear, stop and ask your foreman or another qualified person.
Ask a Code Question
Ask the code question you have in the field. Answers should identify the applicable NEC article and edition and remind you to verify the locally adopted code and AHJ requirements.
Ask for a plain-English explanation. The answer should include the applicable NEC reference and edition without copying a long definition.
Jobs
The selected NEC edition stays with this job and is not changed when a newer edition is published.
Saved Jobs
Choose the code used in your area
The latest published NEC is tracked separately. Your selected job edition will not be changed automatically.
NEC reference rule
Every NEC answer must identify the applicable article and, when available, the subsection, table, exception, or informational note.
Latest reference: 2026 NEC. Job compliance: use the edition selected for that job and verify local amendments, permit documents, plans/specifications, and AHJ requirements.
A new NEC edition never changes an existing job. New editions, TIAs, errata, and formal interpretations require review and testing before calculation logic changes.
Natural Foreman Voice
Choose a calm, clear voice for field instructions. Online natural speech uses the OpenAI API key already saved in Private Setup. If it is unavailable, the app automatically uses the best device voice.
The natural voice is AI-generated and is not a human recording.
Automatic preparation uses the online voice service when an answer appears. Turn it off to generate speech only after pressing Read Answer.
Advanced device voice
The available device voices depend on Windows, the browser, or the phone.

MAYHAW™
MAYHAW™ is an electrical field assistant designed to help electricians work safer, solve problems, learn faster, and document field work with practical AI guidance, NEC-referenced answers, calculations, troubleshooting, photo tools, and job notes.
Rooted in Louisiana
What is a mayhaw? A mayhaw is a small, tart red fruit from a native hawthorn tree found in Louisiana’s wetlands and river bottoms. It is part of Louisiana’s culinary heritage and is especially known for mayhaw jelly.
Why we chose it. MAYHAW is distinctive, memorable, and rooted in Louisiana. It gives our electrical field assistant a strong name of its own—one that reflects where we come from while the subtitle explains what the product does.

Terms of Use
Effective: August 12, 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of MAYHAW™ (“MAYHAW,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Intended use
MAYHAW is designed as a practical electrical field-assistance and learning tool for electricians, apprentices, foremen, contractors, and other authorized users. It may provide AI-generated guidance, NEC-referenced information, calculations, troubleshooting workflows, photo/nameplate assistance, weather information, translations, job notes, and related field tools.
3. Electrical safety and code verification
You are responsible for using qualified judgment and following all applicable laws, codes, permits, plans, specifications, manufacturer instructions, utility requirements, employer safety programs, PPE requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, testing procedures, and Authority Having Jurisdiction requirements. Verify the NEC edition adopted for the project and any local amendments. Do not use the app to justify unsafe work or work beyond your training, qualification, authorization, PPE, or test-equipment rating.
4. AI-generated information
AI-generated answers may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or wrong. MAYHAW does not guarantee that an answer, calculation, code reference, photo interpretation, troubleshooting result, translation, or recommendation is correct or appropriate for a particular job. When a result does not make sense, conflicts with job requirements, or creates a safety concern, stop and obtain qualified assistance before proceeding.
5. Accounts and company administration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity under your account. Company accounts may be administered by an authorized owner or administrator who can manage seats, roles, and access for that organization. Do not share credentials or access another person's account without authorization.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the job information, notes, questions, photos, feedback, and other content you submit. You give MAYHAW permission to host, process, transmit, reproduce, and use that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, improve, and provide the service. Only upload content you are authorized to use and disclose. Avoid uploading unnecessary personal, confidential, proprietary, or customer information.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app, attempt to bypass security or account controls, interfere with the service, access data you are not authorized to access, use the service unlawfully, or use the app to create or encourage unsafe electrical practices. Automated scraping, reverse engineering beyond rights granted by law, credential sharing, and attempts to defeat usage or subscription controls are prohibited.
8. Intellectual property
MAYHAW, its software, interface, branding, original text, graphics, and other proprietary materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. “MAYHAW™” and related branding are claimed as trademarks. National Electrical Code®, NEC®, and NFPA 70® are registered trademarks of the National Fire Protection Association. MAYHAW is not affiliated with or endorsed by NFPA.
9. Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services for functions such as authentication/cloud storage, AI processing, weather, hosting, and email delivery. Those services may be unavailable or change independently of MAYHAW. Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices.
10. Availability and changes
We may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features to improve safety, reliability, security, legal compliance, or the product. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Internet access and compatible devices may be required for some features.
11. Paid plans
MAYHAW Standard is offered as a monthly auto-renewable subscription through Apple In-App Purchase on iPhone and iPad. The localized price, included features, renewal terms, and cancellation information are shown before purchase. Payment is charged to the user’s Apple ID. Users can restore purchases in the app and manage or cancel the subscription through Apple ID subscription settings.
12. Suspension or termination
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, nonpayment after paid service begins, misuse, violation of these Terms, legal requirements, or protection of users or the service. You may stop using the app at any time. You may initiate permanent account deletion from Account & Subscription inside the app. Some company or legally required records may require a short manual completion period, which the app will explain when the request is submitted.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, or uninterrupted operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some exclusions may not apply to you.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MAYHAW and its owner/operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss arising from reliance on AI output, code interpretation, calculations, jobsite decisions, data loss, service interruption, or unauthorized account use. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms as the app, commercial offerings, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated when material revisions are made. Continued use after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

Privacy Policy
Effective: August 12, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how MAYHAW™ (“MAYHAW,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the web app, installed web app, mobile app, account services, and related support features.
2. Information we collect
Account information. We may collect your name, email address, electrical classification or role, subscription entitlement status, and account settings.
Field and work content. Depending on the features you use, we may process job names and locations, notes, NEC settings, jurisdiction/AHJ information, troubleshooting observations, meter readings, calculations, equipment details, translations, saved reports, and feedback.
AI questions and photos. When you use Ask AI or photo/nameplate features, the questions, job context, confirmation notes, and selected images needed to answer the request are transmitted for AI processing. Do not submit content you are not authorized to share.
Location and weather. Location permission is optional. When you request live weather, your device provides latitude and longitude to the weather service so current conditions and a place name can be returned. MAYHAW does not intentionally save raw latitude/longitude coordinates as part of the weather feature, although a saved field note may include the returned place name and weather conditions.
Technical and security information. We may process session/authentication data, browser or device information, timestamps, app/build information, basic service logs, error information, and usage information needed for security, troubleshooting, account administration, and service limits. Some preferences and session information are stored locally on your device.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and authenticate accounts; provide AI, calculations, notes, troubleshooting, weather, translation, and other field features; confirm App Store subscription access; secure and troubleshoot the service; respond to feedback and support requests; improve reliability and safety; enforce service terms; and comply with applicable law.
4. How information is shared
We share information only as reasonably necessary to operate the service, including with service providers that perform cloud authentication/storage, AI processing, weather, hosting, email delivery, and Apple In-App Purchase processing. Current integrations include Supabase for account/cloud functions, OpenAI for AI processing, Open-Meteo for requested weather/location lookups, and Apple for subscription purchase and entitlement information. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety or security, or as part of a legitimate business transfer.
5. Advertising, sale, and tracking
The current app does not use third-party advertising trackers and does not sell personal information. If advertising, cross-app tracking, or materially different data uses are introduced in the future, this policy and any required consent or platform disclosures will be updated first.
6. Data retention
We retain account and field information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain business and security records, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, or support an organization's legitimate records. Retention can vary by data type and account type. Local device data may remain until you sign out, clear the app/browser data, uninstall the app, or the app removes it.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the service, including authenticated accounts and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your password and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
8. Your choices and requests
You may decline optional location or photo access, change applicable device permissions, update certain account or code settings in the app, restore purchases, and manage an App Store subscription through your Apple ID settings. For questions or requests to access, correct, or delete personal information, contact appadmin@ledouxec.com.
9. Children
MAYHAW is a professional electrical field tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information was collected inappropriately, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
10. Third-party services and links
Third-party services have their own privacy practices. Their handling of information is governed by their applicable policies and agreements. We encourage users and company administrators to review relevant third-party terms when needed.
11. Account deletion
You can initiate permanent deletion of your account from Account & Subscription inside the app. Requests requiring verification are normally completed within 7 days. We delete associated personal data that we are not legally or operationally required to retain, and you do not need to call or email support to begin the process. Deleting a MAYHAW account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription; subscriptions are managed through Apple ID settings.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as features, service providers, commercial offerings, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be revised when material changes are made.
13. Contact
Privacy and support questions may be sent to appadmin@ledouxec.com.
